recommendations

it's not often i get to read a whole book in one sitting these days, but i just finished sara zarr's sweethearts. once i started it, i couldn't possibly set it aside to do anything else. i think it's one that will stay with me for a while.

waiting for me at the library, i have guyaholic by carolyn mackler and the disreputable history of frankie landau-banks by e. lockhart. i can't wait to read those!

do you have any great recommendations?

Some books I've loved lately:

Blue Like Friday, by Siobhán Parkinson
The Adoration of Jenna Fox, by Mary Pearson
Down to the Bone, by Mayra Lazara Dole

this isn't a recommendation, because *you're* the one who gave me the book, amanda, but it's a comment: the book SAVING FRANCESCA by melina marchetta had that effect on me. it's still with me. (so is chambers' POSTCARDS FROM NO MAN'S LAND, actually, in case i haven't raved about that enough yet...)

Ugh. No pleasure reading for me until I get through this semester!

crappy weather = april blahs = trashy romance novels. Yay.

The Bunce book came into my library and I'm going to pick it up today! Amanda, I wanted to tell you that I find it very nearly spooky that we are so often reading and enjoying the same books. I'll be happy to pass on Stealing Heaven when I'm through with it (which should be quite soon).
